Summary Case Summary The complainant was the appointed contractor to complete the project. He claims that the promoter has not included his name in the registration of the project as contractor with MahaRERA and his payment bills are due by the promoter. The complainant also alleges that a sub-contractor was appointed without his consent. The complainant, who was the contractor, also claims he was removed and replaced without any information. The respondent states that the contractor was removed as the contract had expired. He was also informed by them through a message. This is the same reason that the contractor’s name was not mentioned while registering with MahaRERA. Conclusion by MahaRERA The issue regarding the non-payment of bills of the contractor is a civil dispute matter and will not be entertained by the MahaRERA Authority. Since, the contractor could not provide any proof of him being the contractor at present as well, the Authority cannot take responsibility of taking any decision against the respondents. The Authority directs the respondent to submit an affidavit by 20/09/2017 stating that the complainant is not the contractor of the project. Hence, the complaint is disposed. |
