RERA in Maharashtra

Maharashtra was one of the first states in the country to build an authority in the Real Estate Regulation and Development Act. Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2016 is a step towards reforming the real estate sector in India, encouraging more transparency, accountability, and professionalism. Since the inception, MAHARERA is the leader when it comes to the successful implementation of RERA in the state.

Here is MAHARERA registration & compliance status as on September 2023

Agent Registration       :  43888

The real estate agents are required to pay registration fees at the time of application to the authority through NEFT or RTGS or any other digital transaction mode. The Registration Fees is as follows:

In case of Individual: Rs 10,590/-
In case of other than individual: Rs 1,00,590/-

Maharashtra RERA Authority sets an example for other states by their efficient and effective working style. Gautam Chatterjee is the chairman of RERA in Maharashtra and he has ensured that RERA in Maharashtra should be implemented effectively as per the central guidelines. Maha RERA Authority is very firm on their policies as they have even issued notices to Developers and Brokers those are not complying with the RERA rules.
