Real Estate Regulatory Authority (General) Regulations, 2017. The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (General) Regulations were published on 22 March 2018. These regulations establish procedures for the general functioning and conduct of the business of the Authority.
The Punjab Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Rules, 2017, were notified on 8th June, 2017 to carry out the purposes of the Act. These rules govern the working of the Authority. They also inter alia prescribe the forms and procedure for applying for registration (of both projects and real estate agents); the renewal thereof; the terms and conditions of appointment of the Chairpersons, Members and staff of the Authority and the Real Estate Appellate Tribunal; the procedure for dealing with complaints etc. In addition, the Authority has framed the following Regulations:
i. Real Estate Regulatory Authority (General) Regulations, 2017
The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (General) Regulations were published on 22 March 2018. These regulations establish procedures for the general functioning and conduct of the business of the Authority.
ii. Punjab Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Recruitment and Conditions of Service of Employees) Regulations, 2017
These Regulations regarding conditions of service of the employees of the Authority were approved by the Punjab government on April 18, 2018. These Regulations define the procedure for recruitment and conditions of contract for the employees along with minimum qualification and remuneration against each sanctioned post. These were published in the Gazette vide notification number RERA/Regulations (recruitments) /2018/2584 on April 18, 2018.
iii. Punjab Real Estate Regulatory Authority (Procedure for Handling Complaints and Related Matters) Regulations 2017
The creation of a transparent and robust grievance redressal mechanism is one of the important functions of the Authority. These Regulations determine the procedure for handling and disposal of such matters and were notified in the Gazette vide notification number RERA/Regulations (handling complaints)/ 2018/5644 on July 12, 2018.
