Telangana RERA: Nearly 40% of Complaints Still Await Resolution

Telangana RERA has a significant backlog of unresolved complaints, with 1,076 cases pending out of 2,920 complaints filed since the authority’s inception in 2017. The latest figures show that nearly 40% of complaints remain unresolved, despite Telangana being one of India’s major real estate markets with more than 11,000 registered projects. Common grievances include delayed project completion and possession, refund demands, incomplete projects, missing promised amenities and structural issues. Officials noted that multiple buyers may file separate complaints against the same project, meaning some cases could potentially be resolved through a common order.
