Tamil Nadu RERA Grants 4-Month Extension to Eligible Projects

Tamil Nadu RERA has granted a four-month extension to the registration and completion timelines of eligible real estate projects affected by the West Asia situation. The relief covers projects whose original, revised or extended completion date falls on or after February 28, 2026. TNRERA has treated the situation in West Asia as a force majeure event under the RERA framework. The decision follows the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs’ July 31 advisory to state RERAs. Promoters do not need to submit individual applications or pay additional fees to avail the extension.
