Haryana RERA Orders Pareena Infrastructure to Pay ₹23 Lakh Compensation to Homebuyers

Dated on: Monday 10th August 2026

The Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (HRERA) has directed Pareena Infrastructure to pay nearly ₹23 lakh in compensation to two homebuyers over a prolonged delay in handing over their flat. The authority found that the delay caused financial losses and mental distress to the buyers. The developer had challenged their compensation claim after an earlier order involving a refund. However, the authority upheld the buyers’ right to seek compensation separately. The decision reinforces that developers can be held accountable for financial losses and mental harassment caused by delayed possession, offering stronger protection to homebuyers facing prolonged project delays.
