West Bengal to Set Up Four New IT Parks

Dated on: Monday 23rd June 2025

West Bengal will establish four new IT parks—three in North Bengal (Kurseong, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri) and one in Chinsurah, Hooghly—to boost tech infrastructure. This move follows the full occupancy of Siliguri’s three IT parks and reflects growing demand in the sector. The state currently operates 22 IT parks with 80–100% occupancy. Construction in Kurseong has begun, while locations for the others are finalized. IT Minister Babul Supriyo said the initiative aims to create more tech jobs and strengthen digital growth in tier-II cities across the state.
