Uttar Pradesh to Sign New Lease Agreements for 13 Sports City Projects Following Court Ruling

The Uttar Pradesh government is set to sign new lease agreements for 13 Sports City projects following a March 2025 Allahabad High Court ruling that annulled Jaiprakash Associates Ltd's (JAL) 1,000-hectare land allotment. This decision affects 13,132 buyers across Sectors 25 and 19, necessitating fresh deeds between the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), third-party developers, and homebuyers. The court mandated that YEIDA substitute JAL's role, maintaining the original terms and conditions, and complete documentation within 12 weeks. Developers and buyers must upload relevant documents to YEIDA's portal by June 21, 2025.
