Goa RERA Seeks Court Intervention to Complete Stalled Housing Project
Dated on: Monday 28th September 2026Goa RERA has approached the North Goa Principal District and Sessions Court to enforce its order directing Hrija Construction to complete a stalled housing project and hand over flats to buyers. The authority had imposed a ₹15 lakh penalty on the developer in 2020 for failing to register the project and meet possession commitments. Although completion was ordered by April 30, 2020, the project remains unfinished. Earlier execution proceedings were closed because the building lacked a Completion Certificate and final Occupancy Certificate. Goa RERA has now proposed appointing an independent agency to complete construction at the developer’s expense.
