Bihar CM Directs RERA to Simplify Procedures and Strengthen Homebuyer Protection

Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has directed the Bihar Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) to make its functioning more transparent, simple, accountable, and technology-driven while ensuring that homebuyers' interests remain the top priority. During a review meeting, he emphasized balancing ease of doing business for developers with strong consumer protection. The CM also instructed officials to speed up grievance redressal, eliminate unnecessary procedural delays, and integrate RERA's operations with the state's digital platforms for better monitoring of complaints and approvals. The initiative aims to enhance transparency, improve investor confidence, and strengthen trust in Bihar's real estate sector.
