Andhra Pradesh RERA Cautions Buyers Against Unregistered Real Estate Projects

Andhra Pradesh RERA has warned homebuyers against purchasing unregistered flats and plots, especially in so-called “pre-launch” projects. APRERA Chairman S. Suresh Kumar stated that collecting advances or marketing such unregistered properties violates Sections 3 and 10 of the RERA Act, 2016. He urged buyers to verify project registration through the APRERA helpdesk before investing. The authority also cautioned developers and agents against promoting or selling without proper registration, warning of strict action for non-compliance. This move aims to protect buyers from fraud and ensure transparency in real estate transactions.
