Telangana RERA Orders Builder to Form Villa Owners’ Association After Harassment Allegations
Dated on: Thursday 12th June 2025
Telangana RERA has directed Prime Infratech, developer of the Prime Alpenia villa project in Mokila, Hyderabad, to register a Villa Owners’ Association within 45 days. The order follows complaints from a resident alleging harassment and unauthorized fund collection due to the absence of a formal association. TG-RERA emphasized the legal obligation of builders to form such associations for proper governance and transparency. The authority’s action reinforces its commitment to protecting homebuyers' rights and ensuring builder accountability. This move comes amid a broader crackdown on RERA violations, including recent penalties for project delays in the state.
