RERA in Punjab

The RERA Act was enacted to instil discipline, ethics, and transparency in the real estate business, as well as to safeguard homebuyers' interests and encourage investment in the area. Every state in the country has its own set of rules for purchasing, selling, and reporting complaints in the real estate industry. The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act was passed in 2016, and the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) was established as a result. As a result, it was determined that within six months, each state must develop a set of rules and regulations related to the act. The official rules for RERA Punjab were laid out in June 2017, and subsequently, the RERA Punjab website officially came into effect.
