Telangana RERA Initiates Penalty Proceedings Over Sale of 40 Unregistered Plots
Dated on: Monday 19th October 2026Telangana RERA has ordered penalty proceedings against Sivom Projects Pvt Ltd and its managing director for selling 40 plots in the Sivom Sahasra II project in Jeedimetla, Hyderabad, without mandatory RERA registration. The plots were sold and registered between 2021 and 2022, but development work has remained incomplete for over six years. The authority declined to order project completion because of a High Court status quo order and pending legal disputes. It also rejected buyers’ requests to develop the site themselves, advising them to pursue encroachment complaints through the appropriate legal channels.
