Telangana RERA Orders Refunds with 10.7% Interest to 12 Homebuyers
Dated on: Monday 31st August 2026Telangana RERA has ordered the refund of the entire amount paid by 12 homebuyers of Bharathi’s Lake View Apartments in Kompally, along with 10.7% annual interest. The project failed to commence construction despite collecting payments from buyers in 2021. The Authority directed the builder, its partners and subsequent parties involved in the project to jointly and severally refund the money within 60 days. Interest will be calculated from the date of each payment until the actual refund. Buyers had alleged that the project lacked required approvals and RERA registration and that construction never began.
