MahaRERA Revamps Project Certificates to Boost Transparency for Homebuyers
Dated on: Friday 6th June 2025
The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) has overhauled its project registration certificates to enhance transparency and empower homebuyers. Effective immediately for new projects, the revised certificates present key project details—such as total built-up area, number of buildings and wings, approved floors, unit counts, and parking provisions—in a bullet-point format for improved readability. Any future changes, including timeline extensions or developer modifications, will be reflected in updated certificates with annexures listing the revised details. Developers are mandated to display these certificates prominently at project sites and on the MahaRERA website. Additionally, mandatory QR codes in advertisements will link directly to key project information for public access. This initiative aims to enhance transparency and empower homebuyers by providing comprehensive and accessible project information.
