Haryana RERA has directed the developer of Expressway Towers 109 in Gurugram to compensate a homebuyer for delayed possession. The buyer had paid Rs 13.65 lakh for a flat booked in 2016, which was due in May 2017. As the builder failed to deliver, HRERA ordered 11.10% annual interest from May 2022 until valid possession. The builder must clear arrears in 90 days and provide a revised account statement. The buyer must settle dues within 60 days post-statement. HRERA also barred unjustified charges and emphasized transparency in maintenance and tax costs.
