Tamil Nadu builders wants extension of RERA certificate by one year
Dated on: Thursday 17th June 2021The Tamil Nadu chapter of the Builders Association of India on Tuesday sought extending the validity of RERA-registered projects by one more year due to Covid-19. In a letter to the chief minister, the association's state chairman R Sivakumar said construction projects have been stalled due to the present scenario and builders are unable to complete projects within the timeline due to pandemic and other restrictions. It also demanded an extension of validity for building planning permissions for one more year for the projects that are valid for five years ending till December 31, 2021.
