Most Indian states have their real estate sector regulated under the Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Act, 2016. The RERA Goa rules were notified on November 24, 2017 and the state government launched the online RERA Goa website on January 15, 2018.

Shri. S. Kumaraswamy, IAS (Retd.) is the Chairperson RERA Goa.
