RERA in West Bengal

When the Central Government enacted the Real Estate Development and Regulatory Act 2016 and urged all states to follow the new set of guidelines, the West Bengal government took a different course entirely. Instead of RERA, the state enacted the West Bengal Housing Industry Regulation Act (WBHIRA).

According to Section 3 of the WBHIRA, every developer and builder is required to get RERA Registration for his or her real estate project.Here is WBHIRA Registration and Compliances Status as of September 2023.
